Puneet Sharma

Puneet Sharma is a poet, lyricist, screenwriter and thespian. Known for his reflective lyrics for songs such as ‘Newton’ and ‘Idiot Aashavadi’ from Doctor-G, and ‘Khoya Paaya’ from the film Dhamaka, Sharma has also penned songs for Sanju, Gulabo Sitabo, Aurangzeb, Bareilly ki Barfi, Revolver Rani, Laal Kaptaan and Woh Ladki Hai Kahan. His poem ‘Tum Koun Ho Be’, a personal outpouring of his refusal to provide proof of his patriotism, was appreciated widely. ‘Dhamaka’ and ‘The Great Indian Murder’, his outings as a screenwriter have garnered acclaim. When not writing, he ruminates on the futility of the things mentioned above.
